Hello! I think I'd rather do a debate speech than an essay. So, here goes! :D
Motion: THBT (This House Believes That) Changmin is the cutest in DBSK (Proposition 1st Speaker)
Preamble
Dong Bang Shin Ki, better known as DBSK, is popular internationally due chiefly to its five extremely talented members, in terms of singing, dancing, and of course, looks. So today, the main question we really have to ask ourselves then, who IS the cutest in DBSK?
Definitions
Allow me to set a few key definitions for today's debate first.
Firstly, by Changmin, we are referring to Shim Changmin from Dong Bang Shin Ki, also known as the boyfriend of yours truly.
Secondly, by 'cutest', we are referring specifically to a sub-category beneath that of 'looks', and cuteness is, too, a kind of attractiveness commonly associated with youth and appearance. Though the Proposition today recognises that cuteness is actually subjective to every individual, we will be looking at this motion from as objective a point of view as we can.
And lastly, by DBSK, we mean very directly the South Korean boyband that has gained popularity from Singapore and other nations in the recent years.
Clarifications
I have a few clarifications to make before moving on to my case proper.
Firstly, this debate is simply pushing forth an ideological inclination on the side of the Proposition, and we are in no way obliged to give a full account of why exactly Changmin is the cutest in DBSK.
Secondly, cuteness is the only measurement we will be allowing, and this means that other aspects, such as dance moves (ahem), english-speaking abilities (ahem), voice quality (ahem) and prettiness (ahem ahem), will not be included in this debate.
Lastly, we realise that Changmin has other exceptionally good qualities too, examples including amazing screaming skills, an extremely high IQ, proficiency in Mathematics, etc. in this non-exhaustive list - but for the sake of sticking to the spirit of the motion, we shall only gauge Changmin's cuteness.
Baseline
The Proposition's baseline for today is that so long as we are able to prove that Changmin's cuteness has been on a stable scale ever since his inclusion into DBSK till the status quo, and that no other member can actually beat his cuteness, THBT Changmin is the cutest in DBSK.
Onus
It is the onus of the Opposition to prove to us that Changmin's cuteness has decreased over the years, and that another DBSK member is actually cuter than him.
Case Division
I as the first speaker of the Proposition will be speaking about how Changmin's cuteness has in fact been increasing in the long run, whereas my second speaker, (who does not exist), will be speaking on how no other DBSK member can actually compare to Changmin in terms of cuteness.
Substantive
Without further ado, allow me now to move on to my substantive, that on Changmin's increasing cuteness. Now, because a picture speaks a thousand words, and because I don't really have much time to fully elaborate on this substantive in full prose form, and because this is not really an actual debate, I shall post pictures to illustrate my point here.
From the above picture, what we say is actually Changmin in his Hug days, looking exceptionally cute! Over the years, not only has this cuteness not ceased, it has even increased to a standard that it's no longer just the cute-cute image the band is trying to portray as a whole; but rather, the hot-cute look that Changmin stunningly possesses today. Below is another real-life example that effectively brings across this point.
And from this second picture, what we see is that Changmin, in his gorgeous Mirotic image, still gives out that kind of cuteness that is responsible for sending thousands of fangirls screaming mad and going wild in their everyday lives. Yet at the same time, let us recognise that the Changmin we see today is considerably cuter than that of a few years back. Why so? Essentially, it just means that Changmin is looking better and better as time goes by, and from this, we as the general public can thus look forward to a drop-dead cute Changmin in around 2011 or so.
Agree with me, ladies and gentlemen, that anyone on the street would find the first picture pleasing to the eye, or cute, and find the SECOND picture actually better than the first, even if it depicts the same cute guy we all love today! This, ultimately, proves my point that Changmin's cuteness has been increasing, and this brilliant trend is very likely to increase even more a few years down the road. With this, I shall leave you with my 2nd speaker (who still doesn't exist) to actually do a compare-and-contrast of Changmin with the other 4 DBSK members, further proving to you why Changmin is overall the cutest in DBSK.
Therefore, on a concluding note, let's face up to the reality. We don't care how pretty Jaejoong is, we don't care how hot Yunho is, let us just understand today the conspicuous fact, that Shim Changmin IS the cutest in DBSK. He is cute, simply, to the max. Thank you.
